Throwback Thursday : Overalls

I've heard overalls are back on track ! 

Well, I guess it's time for me to wear mine again. Rockin' it since the 80's ! 

I'm funny. *sigh*

365 days

I got several messages telling me that it's "PAGE 1 of 365" and not "day".

I know. I've seen this on Tumblr : 2014 is a new chapter of a book, this book is your life and this is the first page...

To be honest, I'm not into that whole "book" idea.

I do respect those of you who see new year as a new chapter of a book (and it's kinda poetic) but it's not really my philosophy.

Anyway, I liked the "1 of 365" idea but I prefer to use "day" because I see this as a mini diary -that will keep me blogging everyday 'cause you know how messy I am (and by messy I mean irregular).

Shoelaces

First thing first, I'm not talking about the "bunny ears" method. 

I'm talking about when (sometimes) you buy a pair of shoes and the shoelaces are made in only one of them ! You find yourself with a ready-to-wear-shoelace shoe and a do-it-yourself-shoelace shoe ! See... ? 

Earlier today I found myself struggling with shoelaces of a pair I never wore before, and of course I had to do by myself the lace of a shoe AND it has to look as the already made one... See my problem ?

Anyway, I didn't know how to do it and my mum came with this awesome idea "Google it !"

I did. It was really helpful. I couldn't do the straight European lacing without instructions ! 

The whole point of this is : if I had this problem maybe you did too in the past... or maybe you will -and believe me you prefere to know about this now and not when you're 10 minutes late having no time to spend on your shoelaces. There.

Happy 2014 !

It's january 1st, are you expecting a "Happy New Year" message + a list of my resolutions ?

Well, sorry I don't do that -I'm not a "making-resolution-list" kind of girl. 

I do wish you a happy new year though ! And even a happy month and a happy day ! And if, for some reasons, you're feeling great today I wish you to feel that way every day of 2014 ! Yay !

Honestly I feel like january 1st is more a calendar thing than a real event. I don't see it as a new beginning and I'm not into the "New Year, New Me" state of mind... I'll just  stick with the 2013 version of myself.

Plus, people make list of what they would love to change, to do, to be... and they just forget about them few days after (few weeks if you're determinated). Changing and creating yourself (I believe life is about creating yourself and not finding it) take more than some words writing down on a paper... but writing them can be a good start. 

Anyway, I'm so grateful for 2013 it was an incredible year. I met amazing people that I'm so happy to call my friends. I had the best time experimenting new things. Now, all I can do is hope that 2014 will be as surprising as 2013.

Memory jar

People, this is a friendly reminder. It's time for you to think about the Memory jar -if you want one.

You probably already know what is it but if you don't here's an explanation : it's a jar you fill with memories through the year.

You start on january 1st and, on december 31st, you read all the memory notes you writed. 

You can customize your jar to make it pretty. 

The one I used in the pictures is an empty Nutella jar. I just painted the lid and then I sticked some kind of pearls on the top of it. As simple as that. 

Now, will I be using this jar for memories ? Well, no. 

No Memory jar for me this year. 

Music Marathon

I know, I know, the 25th of decembre tends to be the "Movie Marathon Day" but what can I say; I can't spend a whole day watching movies. I just can't. 

I'd rather spend the day listening to music while getting stuff from my to-do list done, mainly getting my room done !  

I'm living in huge mess since my come back, it's like my room is two times too small than what it used to be, my things don't fit in it ! Drives me crazy - and yes I checked on Pinterest for some storage and organzation solutions...

Anyway, better hear this than my space problems !
